Jasmine Chin-Sabado

Director, Ministry of Law, Singapore

Mrs Jasmine Chin-Sabado helms the Policy Advisory Division (PAD), which provides legal expertise and advice to shape policy, drive law reform and execute policy initiatives in the Ministry. 

Jasmine was actively involved in the legislative amendments to the International Arbitration Act in 2020 and led the team that introduced extension of the third-party funding framework in 2021, as well as conditional fee agreements in 2022. She oversees, inter alia, the litigation funding and dispute resolution portfolios. 

Jasmine was also Director (Prosecution & Compliance) at the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. She was previously Deputy Senior State Counsel and Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Chambers. Prior to joining the public service, Jasmine was a legal practitioner specialising in shipping and admiralty litigation at top law practices in Singapore. 

Jasmine is a contributing author to the authoritative reference book on taxation of income, The Law & Practice of Singapore Income Tax, 3rd Edition.
